Critical History
The pulpit of the Parish Church of St Hemma in Sveta Ema was attributed to Joseph Straub by Sergej Vrišer.1 In the future, this attribution will have to be reconsidered, because only the sculpture of angel with the Tablets of the Law and ornaments on the balcony of the pulpit have significant characteristics of Joseph Straub style.

Comment
The pulpit has at least one repolychromy. Ornamentation and sculpture´s drapery imitate gold. The original polychromy of the architecture imitates marble.
The ornaments and sculptures are infected by wood-boring insects. There are some vertical cracks on architecture of the pulpit. The ground is lifting and falling off.
The pulpit was restored in 1904.2
