Critical History
The processional cross in the church’s nave shows a remarkable corpus Christi which is attributable to the workshop of Philipp Jakob Straub.1 The body is modeled in a very detailed way, also the face is of high technical quality. Only the hip region appears coarse and ungainly which encourages the assumption of a workshop work. The blood drops dripping out of the wounds support the realistic depiction of the suffering Christ.
Construction / Execution
It is a three-nail-type with the head resting on the right side.
