Critical History
The facade of St Cajetan was erected between 1765-1768 by F. Cuvilliés the Elder. I. Günther, R. A. Boos were also working in this project. The reliefs were modelli for reliefs made of stucco above the niches with the sculptures of St Adelheid and St Ferdinand on the facade of S. Kajetan (Theatinerchurch) in Munich. On each of the reliefs 2 putti are playing with draperies. They were executed without involvement of J. B. Straub. 1 The dimensions are: 29,9cm x 23,4cm and 30,2cm x 23,3cm. The inv. no. are R 7768 and R 7769. The no. of the photo is D18762. The link to the website of the museum is: www.bayerisches-nationalmuseum.de
Construction / Execution
The modelli/bozzetti are made in terracotta.
